The Board

The Board consists of the Vice President for Research of the ETH Zurich and the Prorector for Medicine and Natural Sciences of the University of Zurich. The Board is the supervising committee and is among other things responsible for approval of the strategy and budget of the FGCZ.

The Steering Committee (SC)

The Steering Committee (SC) is responsible for defining and establishing the operational aspects and user policies of the FGCZ, as well as for facilitating interactions of the FGCZ with other research institutions, monitor new developments and technologies in the field, and establish links to the private sector. It is also authorized to make budgetary decisions and to allocate scientific and technical support to individual FGCZ groups. The Steering Committee reports to Board of the FGCZ. The SC is responsible for granting access to the infrastructure of the FGCZ to researchers within the User Lab concept.

The FGCZ Management

The managing director is responsible for the operation of the FGCZ. Furthermore, he scientifically coordinates FGCZ activities with local and other research groups and is responsible for the management of the core platform and staff, the purchase of equipment, implementation of policies, and the organization of interactions between ETH and University of Zurich, with other academic institutions and industrial partners.
