Expression Analysis

Measuring the abundance of mRNA transcripts using microarrays where the number of probes per microarray ranges from a few hundreds to ~50k. Measurements can be done from as little as 10ng of total RNA (optimal performance is achieved with 1-5ug total RNA).

We offer the following technologies

• Affymetrix GeneChip System: Whole genome and special topic chips for a large number of species.
• Agilent System: Whole genome arrays plus individually designed arrays using Agilent eArray
• Custom slides: Arrays printed by ourselves (see Microarraying) or other facilities

Support Modes

All technologies are available in User lab mode.

For Affymetrix and Agilent arrays we offer a Service that includes:

• Consultation and advice on the technology and experimental design
• Advice on the preparation of the samples
• Quality and quantity control of each RNA sample on the 2100 Bioanalyzer
• Generating labeled cRNA samples
• Quality and quantity control of each labeled cRNA sample on the 2100 Bioanalyzer
• Hybridization of the labeled cRNA on microarrays
• Raw data generation using Affymetrix GCOS or Agilent Feature Extraction Software
