DATES FOR THE BIOINFORMATICS TRAINING COURSES IN 2017
7th-8th September: Introduction to RNA-sequencing data analysis
21th-22th September: Introduction to variant analysis using Next Generation Sequencing
Next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies have revolutionized many fields in biology and are changing the practice of medicine. As a joint state-of-the-art research and training facility of the ETH and the University of Zurich, the Functional Genomics Center Zurich (FGCZ) offers two-day bioinformatics training courses, providing an introduction to some of the analyses associated with the data generated by NGS technologies. The courses consist of lectures providing an overview of the individual steps in the analysis pipelines as well as practical sessions using the Sushi data analysis framework developed at FGCZ.
