Fall 2009 lectures:

Statistical Methods for the Analysis of Gene Expression

General Information

We provide Education and Training in three ways:

The FGCZ actively participates in various teaching courses and colloquia of ETH and University of Zurich. The lectures and seminars are mainly focused on technologies and applications in functional genomics and are generally thought for an audience of higher-level students, PhD-students and postdocs.

In addition to introductory lectures, more advanced technical and practical courses are offered in the areas of:

The courses are published via e-mail to subscribers of the FGCZ mailing list as well as on the FGCZ web page. Courses offered to a limited number of participants require e-mail registration.

On the most advanced level and with the option of individual teaching and training being provided, all approved projects at the FGCZ receive full training support on the technologies and applications needed for successful realization of the experiments.
Training Courses in Gene Expression Analysis

Introductory courses to gene expression analysis are given on demand, typically on a bimonthly basis. The courses discuss the general issues in gene expression analysis and show how to perform an analysis using FGCZ software. In particular, the use of the Rosetta Resolver and Agilent GeneSpring applications is practiced.

Upcoming courses will be announced on the main page of the FGCZ website and Intranet.
