Main Navigation
The site head contains the links of the main navigation, like they are found on most of the websites of the ETH Zurich at the Web Corporate Design. These links are also present on underlying hierarchies.
To the main navigation belong also the ETH-Logo and the title of the website, that are linked with the website of the ETH or the actual website.
Breadcrumb Navigation
Below the main navigation are the breadcrumbs of the Breadcrumb Navigation. This is a sequel of links to the sites, that are superior to the actual site. With this you can get one or more levels up.
The name comes from the fairy tale "Hänsel und Gretel", where breadcrumbs are strewed to mark the way home.
Subnavigation
The left column containing the subnavigation shows the subaltern sites and represents a table of contents.
