The Functional Genomics Center Zurich (FGCZ) is a joint state-of-the-art research and training facility of the ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich. With latest technologies and expert support for Omics research, the FGCZ carries out research projects and technology development in collaboration with the Zurich Life Science research community.

At the FGCZ, genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and bioinformatics technologies and application expertise is accessible via the User Lab and Analytical Services.

User Lab Access

The User Lab offers project-based training and teaching in analytical technologies and data analysis tools & strategies. Project application and management is handled by B-Fabric.

Analytical Services

Analytical Services are provided project-based in the User Lab sections for Next Generation Sequencing and Microarrays, and sample-based in the Protein Analysis Service.

Collaborative Research and Development

Collaborations can be defined for the development of new analytical approaches and methods, as well as for bioinformatics tool development and workflow establishment.

Educational and Training Options

Compact multi-day training courses, individual and group-based lectures, tutorials, and hands-on courses are offered on methods, technologies, and software as part of our educational activities.
